I have been reading so many blogs lately that it awakes the writer I carry for a long time… It is a bit weird to leave my Portuguese humor and fluency to find words using my second language – interesting, to say the least, and a very good workout for my not-so-fit brain.
I hope you enjoy my ‘experiment’ as much as I am enjoying finding the subject and words to add to it…
A mountaineer since 1991, Helena moved from Brazil to Calgary in 2005 to be close to the Rockies. Helena is living in the Bow Valley with her family since 2008, which includes little Ian, born in 2007.
This blog is an experiment – a way to explore her second language, English, and some of her passions, like food, cooking, the mountains, her son. And recently the difficult subject of cancer and home death.→ This part of the blog can now be found at Grieving Support. Enjoy!
