Love Warrior

glennondoylemelton_1From time to time, a book finds its way to my hand that will change the way I see the world and more I will understand about myself and my life. Love Warrior is one of those books.

Glennon deals with a lot of pain in order to find her way into her marriage. As Liz Gilbert’s put it, “Glennon lifts the roof off her whole house – her whole life – and examines everything, right out in the open. She has, indeed, become a Love Warrior. This book is an act of love and truth and generosity; it will change lives”.

But I am not here to praise her book. I am here to quote one passage of her book that deeply touch me:

“Grief is love’s souvenir. It’s our proof that we once loved. Grief is the receipt we wave in the air that says to the world: Look! Love was once mine. I loved well. Here is my proof that I paid the price.

—Glennon Doyle Melton

As time passes, the grief I once felt is not as strong but still here, giving me a knot in my throat a few times a year. And when I read this quote, I understood that I was blessed to have loved. The ultimate objective of life is love.

Thank you, Ricardo, for showing me this love.

Here is where I will explore life itself. Think of it as a patchwork of stories, experiences, and reflections—unpredictable, just like life.

There won’t be a strict order of topics, dates, or categories; instead, expect a spontaneous mix of thoughts and moments.
